Sean Cronin wins Hillview Open Dom Kavanagh Memorial Trophy
The Hillview Open was played over the June Bank Holiday weekend in glorious sunshine. A great turnout with 250 cards played for the Dom Kavanagh Memorial Trophy. It was a great day for Hillview players, winning most of the prize categories. The contest for top spot turned out to be a family affair with brothers, Sean and Gerard Cronin rising to the top of the leaderboard. Sean eventually came out on top winning by the slimmest of margins. The ladies winner was Veronica Anglim, with Paul Sweeney and Ann Fitzgerald collecting the top gross prizes. Senior Nett was won by John Fitzgerald; Intermediate Winner was George Goodman while Tom Morris won the Junior nett prize. Breda Howell won the Ladies net prize. Congratulations to all the winners and many thanks to the Kavanagh family for their continued support of this important event in the Hillview pitch and putt calendar.Our Tuesday night scrambles continue with the most recent winners being the team of David Cahill, Ann Wall and Anne Marie Quigley.
