Pitch and Putt: Niall Barry and Rory Maher win Junior Event

Last Friday Night we ran our last Juvenile event of the summer, the Hillview Juvenile Strokeplay. We had a fine turn out and we thank all who played. A special thanks to the Mums and Dads who supplied the taxis. A big thank you to all who helped run the event, Adrian Anglim, Veronica Anglim and our Lady Captain Nora Whelan  who excelled herself with beautiful food which was enjoyed by all. The winners on the night were Rory Maher who won the net and Niall Barry who won the Gross.

The Tuesday Night scrambles continue with strong support. Results of the most recent were as follows.

Winners- Joan Donlon, John Cawley and Adrian Anglim

Runners up- Veronica Anglim, Dave Forrest and David Cahill

Gross winners- Nora Whelan, John Cooney and Paul Sweeney

September will be a busy month for club competitions starting with the Andy Doyle on Sept 10th.


The Larkspur Open doubles was on last week and Hillview finalists were, Shay Whelan won the grade 3 doubles with Sean Looby from New Inn, Laura Durkan was successful again in the ladies 3 doubles with Claire Dawson, Kilfeacle, Grace Durkan and Jaco were runners up in the mixed Div. 1 / 2. This week and next the action switches to the Castleview Open, good luck to all the Hillview entrants. A group of students from the National Learning Network Clonmel, recently completed their "Enjoy Tennis" certificate course conducted by Hillview coach William Guiry in conjunction with club volunteers and Rita Mc Cormack of NLN. ENJOY TENNIS is the Tennis Ireland programme for players to learn and enjoy playing tennis in clubs around Ireland and Hillview were delighted to be recent hosts.

Club Lotto

On the 2nd September 2017 the Hillview Lotto Jackpot was worth €2,200. The numbers drawn were 1-4-7-19. There was no Winner of the Jackpot. There were 6 tickets with 3 numbers. The Next Lotto Draw will take place on Saturday 9th September at 9.00p.m. The Jackpot will now be worth €2,300. Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers, or at the Hillview Bingo every Monday & Friday Night or at the Club Bar every night. Buy-ins for 2017 are now due, they are available at €45.00 for 1 year. If you're not in you can't win.
