Tennis - Megan Hayes from Larkspur was Star at Hillview Junior Open
We had a great entry for Junior Open, players from Limerick, Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny and locally from Cashel, Carrick on Suir, Kilfeckle, Lattin and Ballypatrick demonstrated their skills. The weather was dry and not too hot, in fact just perfect. Megan Hayes from Larkspur won the girls under 16 and 18 singles and teamed up with Jessica Fitzelle to win under 16 doubles. Runners up in these events were the Conlyn and Hayes sisters from Limerick. The Farrell's and Reynolds from St Annes and Tramore, took the singles at under 16 and 18. Shane Ryan from Larlspur won under 14 singles and doubles. Gavin Ahern, Alex Ryan and Jamie O' Keeffe, Larkspur also featured in the under 16 and 18 doubles. We had a large entry from the extended Deely Family and Hillview will take credit for their success, the winners of the under 12 were Tom Kelly and his cousin William Pizay, Cathal Deely and Anna Pizay were runners up in the mixed 14s. Lucy Pizay won the girls under 10. In a very competitive under 10 boys with players from all over Munster, locals David Comerford, Castleview won against Hillview's Owen Quigley. Thanks to all at Hillview for the huge administration and catering exercise.

In the Tipperary Clay Court Championship, congratulations to Grace and Laura Durkan who won the grade 2 doubles in this major tournament. The boys and girls u18 Interpros took place in Carrickmines last week. Munster finished third behind winners Leinster and Hillview's Evan Whitty Fitzgerald played a leading part in singles matches against Ulster and Connacht.

This was run on Sunday Aug.7, with an excellent entry, a big thanks to all who supported and played.The Ladies event proved a straight forward win for our Lady Captain Nora Whelan with Pauline Lucey coming home in second place and the Gross prize going to Anne Fitzgerald.The Gents event was dominated by the McGee's with Paul edging out Derek only after the 20th on a countback, both returning a net score of 86. Stephen O'Reilly was the easy winner of the Gross with an excellent 16 under. The next club competition will go ahead Sunday Sept.11 for the Burke & Millea cups.Tuesday Scrambles:
