Pitch and Putt

We ran two very successful "Open" scrambles, at which it was great to see some old faces back on the course but many new ones as well which augurs well for the future.

The first scramble was held on Tuesday June 28, and the result was as follows:

Winners- Veronica Anglim, John Cooney and John Fitzgerald.

2nd - Anne Fitzgerald, Paddy Kenrick and Con Lucey.

Gross winners - Margaret English, Bridget Walsh and Joe Hickey.

Following the success of the first "Open” it was decided to follow up with another the following week which drew an even bigger entry. The winning teams were:

Winners- Pauline Lucey, Alan Buck and Francis McNamara

2nd - Phil White, Craig Brew and Joe Hickey

3rd - Anne Fitzgerald, John Cooney and Paddy Lalor

4th - Bridget Walsh, Brendan Fitzgerald and Seanie O' Connor

The next "Open" scramble will weather permitting take place on Tuesday July 19 with a 7.00pm start, get there as early as you can to allow the admin. to be done and to get all out on course without delay.

Full report on Captain's Prize competition later.

The next club competition for the Ely Centra Gross will go ahead on Sunday July 24.

We ran a Wimbledon themed Tennis Party on Sunday 10th to embrace the social aspect of the club, good buzz around club, as the Captain's Prize Pitch and Putt was also in progress, thanks to Siobhain, Helen and Mattie for organising. Jaco's junior tennis camp is also on every day this week.
