Hillview have 3 players on Munster Team
Hillview had no less than three representatives selected on the Munster team for the annual seniors interpros, held in Belfast this year. Selected to represent the province were Michael Prendergast, Martin Ormond and Michael Murray. Unfortunately Martin Ormond had to drop out at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. The event was played in positively tropical weather conditions and resulted in a very exciting finish, with the result in doubt until the final set of the final match which resulted in the hosts Ulster tied with Leinster on 30 points each and Munster just behind in 3rd., with Connacht in the final place. Martin and Michael were also in action in the finals of the Sundays Well Vets Tournament. In the Castleview Inter Firms, the Paul Foley team, with James Reilly, Ann Durkan and Siobhan Slater were just beaten in a tight final of the Div. 4 cup and the Dean O'Mahoney, Declan Tarrant team were beaten in the Premier plate final.Summer Open Americans

They had 17 points, two clear of runners-up Carmel Boyle & Emma Smith. It was also great to see everyone staying on afterwards for a chat & light refreshments in the Clubhouse Bar. This session of American Opens will continue for two more Wednesdays, May 25th and June 1st before taking a short break for Open Week & Summer Holidays. Starts 7.30pm - Members and non-members welcome. The Open season is starting, with upcoming tournaments in Larkspur and Causeway. Get ready for the Hillview Open starting on June 11th.
