Tennis

Interprovincial Tennis

Congratulations to Declan Tarrant and Eugene O'Mahoney who played for Munster in the over 40 interprovincial championships, which were staged last weekend in St Annes, this is a reward for their strong performances in numerous open weeks throughout the season. Declan played in all 3 matches and Eugene in 2, they acquitted themselves well, we look forward to seeing them in the club championships, wearing their new red Munster tracksuits.

Club Championships

The club championships have been postponed to October 5th due to the busy schedule of Open and Vets tournaments. Entry forms in hallway or enter online via tournament planner.

Castleview Open

Best of luck to all the Hillview players, still playing in the Castleview Open next week.

Wednesday Open Americans

Eugene Cooney is again organising Open American Tournaments for members and visitors over the next number of weeks, the 23rd September is the last evening. Therefore if you are free on Wednesdays, come along at 7:15 PM for a fun evening.

Juniors Sign up for junior coaching with William Guiry or Jaco Oostheyin, refer to notices on board.

Pitch and Putt

Tuesday Scramble:  The latest was played on the 8th Sept. Again despite the rapidly shortening evenings we had a great crowd for this event. The recent hollowtining did not greatly affect the scoring which once again was hot. The winning team were Ann Wall, Ann Delahunty and Michael Kennedy. The runners -up were the team of Breda Howell, Norman Rankin and John Fitzgerald. One third of a shot further back were the trio of Mary Lynch, Paddy Buck and Danny Gibbons. The gross prize, much to their surprise went to the trio of Joan Donlon, Seanie O' Connor and Paddy O' Hanrahan.

Club outing: this takes place on Sat Sept 12 to Fermoy. Comments on the outing will be included in next week's notes.

Upcoming Events- Sunday Sept 20 - National Mixed foursomes Qualifiers, Sunday Oct 11 - Presidents Prize Sunday Oct 25 - McInerney & Millea Cups
