Stephan O'Reilly and Kathleen Foran win Pitch and Putt Captain's Prizes
With the weather gods once again smiling down on us we had a fantastic turn out for this year's Captain's Prize played on Sunday July 19. The Captains Mary Maloney and Paddy O'Hanrahan would like to say a special thanks to all played and all who supported the event. The Ladies event resulted in a comfortable win for Kathleen Foran but the Gents was a real nail-biter with Stephen O' Reilly running out the winner by the narrowest margin. Congratulations from Mary and Paddy to the winners and better luck next time to the losers. Below is a list of the winners:

A special word about Stephen O'Reilly, it is extremely difficult for a low handicap player like Stephen (-1) to win a competition of this nature, that he did tells how well he played and is playing at the moment.The presentation of prizes followed that evening where we had an excellent crowd in attendance to boo and cheer the winners as they saw fit. Well attended scrambles were held on Tuesdays July 14 and 21. On the 14th the winners by just 1/3 of a shot were the team of Bridget Walsh, Laura O'Hanrahan and David Cahill from the quartet of Breda Howell, Veronica Anglim, Norman Rankin and Adrian Anglim. The gross prize went to the trio of Breda O'Donnell, Lorraine Creed and Mick Kennedy.On the 21st the easy winners were the trio of Breda Howell, with Laura and Paddy O'Hanrahan
Condon Cup The next club competition is the annual Condon Cup Team Competition, this is open to players of all levels and is a great fun night, it's on this Friday 31st July, at 7:30pm, signup sheet in hall. Draw on Thursday at 9 pm.Junior Tennis
Ella Power is organising Junior Tournaments every Tuesday and Thursday during July from 10 am to 1 pm, come along, practise your shots and coaching, meet your friends and have some fun. This is a good opportunity to practise for Junior Open Week which is scheduled to start on Sunday 9th August. We are grateful to Mr Frank Quirke, Barrister at Law for sponsoring Junior Open Week. Entry forms are in hallway. We are running a 3 day multisports camp on Tuesday August 18th to 20th; sign up in kiosk for this great fun event.Club Lotto:
On Saturday 25th July the Hillview lotto Jackpot was worth €1,500. The numbers drawn were 1-10-18-23. There were 6 match 3s, who each received 20 euros. The Next Lotto Draw will be on Saturday 1st August. The Jackpot will be worth €1,600.
