Busy Time on Pitch and Putt Course
I must start the notes this week with a red face and an apology for getting the winner of the Crowley Cup wrong. The winner was Nora Whelan with Ann Wall as the runner-up and not the other way around as I had stated in last week's notes. Sorry ladies.Tuesday Scramble:
The latest scramble was played on the 23rd of June and again well supported on a lovely sunny evening. The winning team on this occasion were the trio of Nora Whelan, Paul Sweeney and Paddy O'Hanrahan. They were followed home by the team of Anne Fitzgerald, David Cahill and Danny Gibbons. The Gross prize went to Lorraine Creed, Frank Gubbins and John Fitzgerald.Ladies Night:
This Annual event was held on Friday June 26 and again was blessed with beautiful evening. Almost 50 ladies took to the course for an 18 hole scramble. This was followed by a mouth-watering meal supplied as always by Eileen Condon and her team. The meal was followed by the presentation of prizes and a sing-song in the bar. The winning teams in the scramble were as follows, in first place the trio of Breda Foley, Eileen Murray and Evelyn Cahill. In second place were the team of Anna Long, Dolores Butler and Cait Mulcahy. Third place going to the trio of Maura Ryan, Margaret Hogg and Kathleen Foran. For the late night fun we were joined by Hillview President Seamus O' Doherty and the man who started the Ladies Night event Joe Hickey.Date Change:

The grade 3 team of Michael Moroney, Dean O'Mahoney, Trish Keating and Teresa Drohan had a great win against Nenagh, after 4 hours competitive teams, they won on a super mixed with Dean and Teresa by 3 games to 2. We had a number of players in the Kilkenny Open, Declan Tarrant was a runner up in the Grade 1 / 2mixed with Cheryl Heath, a number of others including Martin Ormonde, Annmaire Moroney, Paul Foley, Laura and Ann Durkan got to semi-finals.Junior Tennis

The Junction Festival production of Early Doors is being staged at the Hillview Bar on Wednesday 8th July at 8:30 pm; this will be a fun night with the actors performing both inside and outside the bar. Tickets from Junction Festival or bar, make a note in your diary.Club Lotto:
On Saturday 27th June the Hillview lotto Jackpot was worth €1,100. The numbers drawn were 5-7-11-13. There were 7 match 3s, who each received 20 euros. The Next Lotto Draw will be on Saturday 4th July. The Jackpot will be worth €1,200. Tickets are €1 each and can be bought from ticket sellers, or at the Hillview Flamingo Bingo every Monday & Friday Night or at the Club Bar every night. Buy-ins for 2015 are now due, they are available at €45.00 for 1 year.
