Tennis Notes

Castleview Open Week 
There was a good contingent from Hillview at the Castleview Open Week, Hillview had many semi finalists, but lost out in close matches. Congratulations to our only winners in the ladies grade 6 doubles, Joanna Lynch and Sinead Healy. Declan Tarrant and Jaco Ooesthysen were runners ups in the grade 1/2 doubles, Jaco was also runner up with Darren Blanche in the grade 3 doubles. Paul Foley and Michael Murray were runners up in grade 4 doubles. Eugene O'Mahoney was a runner up with Niamh Kennedy in the grade 1/2 mixed and Grace Durkan was runner up with Julianne Folet in the grade 1/2 ladies doubles.
Tipperary Vets
Martin Ormonde and Eugene O'Mahoney had a good weekend at the recent Tipperary Vets Tournament.
Singles Ladder
If you are interested in playing singles, put your name down for the monthly ladder.
Munster Winter League Teams
If you are interested in representing Hillview in the Munster Winter League, there are competitions for all grades, put you name down on the list in hallway.
Junior club championship draws for under 12, 14, 16 have been posted on tournament planner and kiosk, arrange to schedule your matches, aim to complete during September, early October.

Pitch & Putt

We again had an excellent turnout for our latest Tuesday scramble played on the 16th of Sept. With the evenings closing in fast we have had to reduce the scramble to 18 holes but this has only made the competition that more exciting and intense. The results of the competition were : winners, the foursome of Veronica Anglim, Breda Howell, Mary Maloney and Adrian Anglim. In second place were the trio of Evelyn Cahill, Bridget Walsh and Jimmy Fitzgerald. 3rd place went to the team of Enda Phelan, Joan Donlon and John Fitzgerald.
Pitch & Putt Outing: Our annual iouting is planned for Fermoy on Saturday Oct 4.
Those wishing to take part are asked again to put their names down on the lists  sited in the kiosk or the main hallway.
